Friends of St Laurence 

The ‘Friends of St Laurence’ team are a group of volunteer parents and teachers who work to raise money to buy the “extra” things that the school budget can not always fund.  

The children at the heart of everything we do and we pride ourselves on putting the fun into fundraising! 

We meet every half term at school to plan events and new ideas are always welcome! Attending our meetings is a fantastic way to meet fellow parents and share in our planning.  It is however by no means compulsory! Everyone can contribute in their own way, no matter how big or small.

Popular events include our film nights and discos. We love to put on our wonderful Christmas and Summer Fairs each year. Running these events are fantastic fun for adults and children alike! 

What are the funds raised for you might ask?

Money raised has previously funded the installation of a shelter in the back playground, class reading books, 15 mini I-pads, a PA system in the hall, an outside table tennis table and two outside chess tables.  We have been raising money for new library books and replacement playground furniture.

In 2022-23 we raised money for 30 Ipads and benches and tables for our playground. 

All parents are hugely welcome and it is never too late to join!  

Volunteering to assist at even one event per year would make such a difference.
