Head Boy - Japheth

I'm proud to be Head Boy at St. Laurence Church Junior School, particularly as it is a very sporty school and we have lots of sports teams that go out and compete. On Fridays, we have celebration assemblies, where children are rewarded for their hard work and achievements. I love football and want to keep helping my team and the school to improve.

Deputy Head Girl - Esther

I enjoy being Deputy Head Girl at St. Laurence Church Junior School. I am proud to have such an opportunity to help others and make our school a better place. My favourite part of being Deputy Head Girl is getting to meet with Mr. Murphy and the rest of the team to discuss ways we can improve the school. One thing I also love about being part of the leadership team is that we are also a voice for the pupils and can chat about anything they would like us to bring up in the meetings. It is a great privilege to be part of St. Laurence.

Pupil Ambassador - Freddy

I am an ambassador of the pupil leadership team. I am very proud to have this role because very few people get a role like this. I was overjoyed when I got the role and I will never forget the day I became an ambassador. I am looking forward to the challenge ahead.

2022 - 23 Pupil Leadership Team

Head Boy - Will

I'm proud to be at St. Laurence Junior School. I'm a super rugby player, so I try to keep fit and do the best for my team. St. Laurence is a great school and every day we find new things to do. We've been to many new places, e.g. York, churches and places of worship and we've also done many history projects. We've even learnt French!

The school is really good because it recognises our achievements and helps to make things better for everyone - making it a good place to learn. I personally would like to receive all of my ribbons and awards as well as achieve high SATs results. As Head boy, I try to help others if needed and be a good example, demonstrating our values so that people will appreciate our work after we leave.

Head Girl - Poppy

I'm Head Girl of St. Laurence Church Junior School. I was overjoyed when I got this position as I felt the opportunity to pass on all of my ideas was something I am very capable of. My real reason that I'm happy to be Head Girl is now that I get to help, encourage and be part of this amazing school, before I move on to my next one! As a pupil of St. Laurence Church Junior School, I always wear the school crest with pride and am Ready, Respectful and Safe! It is a privilege!

Deputy Head Girl - Grace

I love being Deputy Head Girl at St. Laurence Church Junior School. I am so proud to be able to represent such a wonderful place! My role includes having regular meetings with Mr Murphy where we discuss the new things that are happening in school, like the behaviour policy and our thoughts on it, and we are also a voice for the pupils and can chat about anything they would like us to raise. I also greet visitors who come to Celebration Assemblies and help to organise and run events such as Interfaith Week. I really enjoy a range of different subjects that are taught at our school and the equipment we have. I really appreciate that the staff listen to what we have to say and value our opinions. I would like to see more recycling done so that we can become a greener environment.

Deputy Head Boy - Will

I am proud to be a part of the leadership team because I can show my kindness and lots more to the younger children.

Ambassadors

Cian

My name is Cian and I am proud to be part of the pupil leadership team. I hope I can help improve our school and make a difference.

Sophie

I am an ambassador for the Pupil Leadership Team. I am very proud to be in this role for a number of reasons, including that I enjoy discussing ideas for the school and doing jobs for different members of staff. I hope to be a part of many improvements around our school, including some of my own thoughts and ideas. Some of these include working towards reducing litter around the school site and using greener forms of electricity.
