Early Help Drop in Sessions

BeeZee Bodies

We have been commissioned by Birmingham City Council as part of funding by Public Health England (now OHID) to provide FREE support for local families to make healthy changes to their lifestyle. We would like to share with you the exciting details of these new services, suitable for children, parents and families in Birmingham.

Who are we?

We are a dedicated team of nutritionists and behaviour change specialists working with children, families, community centres and GPs across England. Our aim is to empower individuals and help them create healthy lifestyles. We do this by facilitating positive and suitable changes and connecting individuals with a wide range of other services in the local area.

What we offer?

Birmingham City Council have commissioned us at BeeZee Bodies to provide support for children aged 5-15 years old and their families living in Birmingham who are outside the healthy weight range. We offer a range of services from online support to fun and interactive group classes and free physical education sessions.

Here is an overview of the key services we can provide:

BeeZee Academy: A totally online service to learn as a family about making simple, healthy changes. You choose the topics; you choose the pace!

BeeZee Lite: Sign up to a FREE 1-hour session with a Wellbeing-Coordinator to talk about your family and the changes you want to make. Leave with a robust plan on how to make easy, healthy changes.

BeeZee Live: A FREE virtual weekly session for 10 weeks, delivered by trained Nutritionists covering making healthy changes in a fun and engaging way for the whole family. No-one can see you and you don’t have to speak, just type into the chat bar. Simple!

BeeZee Families: A FREE, award-winning, in-person service delivered near you for the whole family. Make friends and learn about simple healthy changes as a family. Weekly physical activities, cook-along’s, free snacks, and simple advice and support from people that care.

What next?

Our face-to-face group and award winning BeeZee Families programme is starting in February 2022 for 12 weeks, one evening a week (see attached document for full timetable). We are working alongside sport and leisure facilities, schools, GP’s, and multiple community groups to spread our message.
