Birthday Celebrations at Birmingham Cathedral.
On Wednesday 25th May, 30 children from years 3 -6 visited Birmingham Cathedral for a service about Pentecost and to celebrate the Church's birthday, which was led by The Right Reverand David Urquhart. We took part in singing, prayers, playing musical instruments and also singing a rendition of Happy Birthday.
Year 5 Tour St Laurence Church
In Year 5 we visited our local Church, St Laurence, for our Year Group Assembly.
Fr. Charles made us welcome and took the Assembly. Afterwards, he gave us a guided tour of the church. He explained the stained glass windows to us and we hope to produce windows of our own in our IC Topic.
Year 4 Visit the Synagogue
Year 4 took an exciting train journey to visit the Birmingham Progressive Synagogue near Five Ways. We listened to where Judaism began and found out about some of the symbols of Judaism. Some of the children got to wear the Kippat and Prayer Shawls.
